That is a painfully awkward-sounding theme song.

These are seriously a pain to understand at certain spots, so:

Watch the skies
coming at you
a hero of metal hue
he locks horns with disaster
for the red and white and blue

Then was born a boy robot
miracle of science
ready to battle large monsters
super-charged and quick on the draw
pretty darn good but he needs help,

The Big Guy, he's a big deal!
Heart of gold and fist of steel
clobbering evil entities
with Rusty at his heel

Now that they're a mighty team
The boy robot lives his dream
to be a legend in history
the Big Guy and Rusty!

There's no hope of ever seeing a Hard Boiled cartoon, so five for another Darrow/Miller project.

Between this, Cyber Six and Escaflowne, it was something of a beautiful time to be watching Fox Kids.

Then they all got canceled within four episodes in favor of Digimon and Nascar Racers.

That was the time I learned to truly hate.

Man, both the show and the comic should have gone on longer.

I weep cause Astroboy and Gigantor fight an alien will never be a linked tag.

Man, that is some remarkably nice animation for something that was shown on a Network Affiliate.

Why did this cartoon get canceled again?

More stuff like this and Mega XLR please.

Five stars for that part in the middle where it sounded like they couldn't remember what the next part of the song was.
