Seinfeld is to old and popular for me to like. Now Curb Your Enthusiasm, thats the show for me. Until it goes off the air or becomes too popular.

To me the show was always like an Onion article: funny premise by tapping into some shared social consciousness, dragged down to mediocrity by a belabored execution, aka the astoundingly unfunny Jerry Seinfeld and Michael Richards.

There's a reason Jerry cemented the archetype of everything wrong with stand up comedy.

+5 for Seinfeld never having a Serious Moment With Touching Life Lesson (TM)

These guys were a funny one-note gag in the Soup Nazi episode, then they brought them back at least twice.

Alternate theory:

Everyone who thinks everything about it is hilarious just didn't want to be left out of the water cooler discussions and catch phrase recitals, lest Donald Sutherland point at them and start screaming.

That's not a very good theory.
