Well-done and amusing sketch, probably because it isn't improv.
I think the most apt description I've ever heard of improv is that it's the Pyramid Scheme of comedy - everybody shells out for seminars, workshops and venues while they all go to each others' shows and convince each other how great it all is. 0.001% of the scene goes on to fame and fortune, and everyone else just lines the pockets of the people giving the seminars and supplying the venue, only the people giving the seminars also shell out their money to attend seminars themselves.

Going with an improv stage show instad of a polished set routine is like shooting yourself in the foot before a race. Your time will be terrible, but people will still say, "20 seconds is pretty good for running the one hundred...if you had a bullet in your foot."
Improv performers always struck me as the type of people who'll tell you "I have all these IDEAS" to write a book or script, but never make it out of the concept phase when they realize writing is hard.
