Never seen Lost, but I know it is greatly INSPIRED BY the novel The Third Policeman, which I HIGHLY reccomend to anyone even merely interested in Lewis Carrol's crazyness taken to the next level.

I got a cab from the airport not long ago. The driver told me he'd met the professor from Gilligan's Island while driving a cab in DC. He apparently was old, but nice, and happily gave an autograph. The driver was from Ethiopia, and seemed happy to have met the professor--though he called him the doctor--from Gilligan's Island. He also met a senator. This is going in my memoirs.
