i think the idea is FN has manipulated the news to such a degree, they have become the symbolize all that is wrong with modern mass media. particularly by relying on the editorial as form of reporting, almost entirely, while giving 'anchors' the leeway to make comments about what they've just seen played.

I often hope that Fox enjoys the ratings it gets because people watch it in the same way people rubberneck when they drive by traffic accidents. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong though.

In what sense has anyone's "1st amendment rights" been violated here? And in what sense are the people who are directly involved in the production of FOX propaganda "just peons"?

If you knew that a reporter and his cameraman and other crew were coming to your protest to film you, ask people questions, and then cut and edit the footage to attack and discredit you, would you really want them there?

I love the cameraman getting all cocky: "You could have said what you wanted to say!" knowing full well that once any footage gets back to FOX, it would be changed to suit whatever they wanted it to.

Watch the other clip, the douchebag just stands in the middle of the street in the way of the march and starts trying to ask questions while walking against the flow of people, then whining "don't you believe in 1st amendment rights?" when people decided they don't want to answer him.

They didn't break his camera or his face, I don't see any freedoms violated.

Two people (or parties) yelling at each other in the street does not really constitute a violation of the first amendment on either side. People really should improve their incredibly weak grasp of constitutional law when it comes to the First Amendment.

No, Fox News got EXACTLY what they wanted from those guys - vitriol and bile. They're going to take that FUCK FOX NEWS video back home and edit it up and show the good folks at home just how mean and hateful and anti-american the protesters are.
