The First Amendment protects someone's right to be a douche, whether we like it or not. Even Fox News has zero journalistic integrity, and that lack of ethos makes this story seem dubious, I disagree with the school's decision. The kid had the right to wear the shirt.

Free speech means that idiots can speak freely, too. The school is in the wrong here. The shirt does not incite any sort of violence; there is no reason for it to be banned.

NEWSFLASH: KIDS IN SCHOOL DON'T HAVE FREE SPEECH OR PRIVACY RIGHTS. Or did you all forget school?

If he were to wear a shit that replaced that name with McCain and said McCain was a Jewlover, and it caused an uproar on the playground, same shit. Hell, if it just had some funky symbol related to absolutely that people found offensive and it caused an uproar, same shit.

Also, that kid was being an attention whore with that shirt and he knows it. So fuck him and his dad.

Free speech is one thing, but pretty much all public school have a dress code so kids wont wear obscene shit that detracts from a learning environment. His t-shirt isn't 'obscene' but it certainly isn't productive. Don't think it's worth being suspended over, they should have given him a different shirt to wear and a talking to about appropriate ways to communicate.
