Thanks for the BREAKING NEWS, Fox.

Seriously, why am I not surprised that they'd spent an entire five minutes on Daddy's Little Redneck?

chumbucket - 2008-09-25

his attire tells me he just got out of the woods after coon hunting

foopants - 2009-02-12

nothin' wrong with huntin' coon...

Squeamish - 2009-10-24

He was referring to a different kind of "coon" hunting, I'm sure.

GoodAaron - 2008-09-25

Who is this even supposed to be subliminally attacking in order to rile up the Angry Right into a flurry of head nodding and fuming (as Fox News' self-appointed purpose is these days)?

Is this going after Them fancy intellectual Lib'rals with their high flown 7th grade educations, trying to instill BIAS into our FUTURE, impressionable children who will be lulled into DEATH BY TERROR?

Sometimes I think this cultish rank-and-file bullshit is just a massive Kaufman-esque practical joke. The people who trumpet this can't really, in their heart-of-hearts, believe this garbage, can they?

Can they...?

Udderdude - 2008-09-25

lol america

oogaBooga - 2008-11-17

lol humanity

Like I always say, stupidity knows no cultural, racial, or geographic bounds.

coprolalia - 2008-09-25

Everybody knew at least one of these kids in school, right? Like the one with the 'U.N. : Peace Through Terror' hooded sweatshirt with a skull superimposed over their logo.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-25

Hey Hannity, where was this outrage in the "Bong-Hits 4 Jesus" case? Forget fighting for the right to wear an inflammatory and insulting T-shirt. Nowadays students are fighting to keep the schools from controlling their speech even when off-campus and well outside their purview.

Anyway, all you needed was to see the kid's name, and you knew the dad was a moron.

RomancingTrain - 2008-09-25

"Patriotism Day."

Hooper_X - 2008-09-25

Man, I cut this one off after about :45. It's already been well established that there's no free speech in schools, although I'd love to see what Pop Redneck there does when the ACLU shows up at his house offering to defend his kid.

In fact, I want videotape.

Knuckles - 2008-09-25

You are wrong wrong wrong. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinker_v._Des_Moines_Independent_Comm unity_School_District

Though there were some limitations applied to the case law after the fact, wearing that shirt was still perfectly within the student's rights. There wasn't enough of a disruption for the punishment to be legitimate -- kids will argue on the playground about anything, including about the playgrond itself.

While this kid and his father are kind of douchey, there's no precedent for banning douchey speech. And for good reason.

Knuckles - 2008-09-25

Sorry, working URL here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinker_v._Des_Moines_Independent_ Community_School_District

glenn - 2008-09-26

According to the Bong Hits 4 Jesus case, Tinker only applies if the conduct is not disruptive. Which basically means never, since any "provocative" statement is potentially disruptive.

chumbucket - 2008-09-25

oh that's right they are his SON'S first amendment rights...riiiiiight kids on the playground should have just called him white and left it there

voodoo_pork - 2008-09-25

The First Amendment protects someone's right to be a douche, whether we like it or not. Even Fox News has zero journalistic integrity, and that lack of ethos makes this story seem dubious, I disagree with the school's decision. The kid had the right to wear the shirt.

Turrican - 2008-09-25

Hannity's going to email him some Stop Obama Express T-Shirts and some Stop Obama Express bumper stickers.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-09-25

Do you think either of those two hairy piles of uncooked dough can find the United States on a map?

halon - 2008-09-25

Free speech means that idiots can speak freely, too. The school is in the wrong here. The shirt does not incite any sort of violence; there is no reason for it to be banned.

halon - 2008-09-25

Oh, but I do love how the kid is angry "that he wants to give them a fair trial." He will do well in civics.

DMKA - 2008-09-25

NEWSFLASH: KIDS IN SCHOOL DON'T HAVE FREE SPEECH OR PRIVACY RIGHTS. Or did you all forget school?

If he were to wear a shit that replaced that name with McCain and said McCain was a Jewlover, and it caused an uproar on the playground, same shit. Hell, if it just had some funky symbol related to absolutely that people found offensive and it caused an uproar, same shit.

The school doesn't give a shit about free speech, they give a shit about going through the day with as little hassle and fucknuttery as possible, and if you honestly believe they did what they did for any other reason, you're a deluded moron.

Also, that kid was being an attention whore with that shirt and he knows it. So fuck him and his dad.

heyitslozeau - 2008-09-25

yeah, i mean cant we bring guns to school?

we cant?

fuck you you NAZIS.

kennydra - 2008-09-25

Free speech is one thing, but pretty much all public school have a dress code so kids wont wear obscene shit that detracts from a learning environment. His t-shirt isn't 'obscene' but it certainly isn't productive. Don't think it's worth being suspended over, they should have given him a different shirt to wear and a talking to about appropriate ways to communicate.

Conclusion: both parties are retarded. As usual.

oogaBooga - 2008-11-17

Agreed. Even though i'd call him an idiot were I his classmate, what you said rings true. My bias doesnt obscure my rational thinking that much, but it does direct my actions more than it probably should.

chomez - 2008-09-25

Little Larry Sanders and Walter Sobchak?

Binro the Heretic - 2008-09-25

Thank God I wasn't the only one.

I expected him to say, "Shut the fuck up, Donny!" when his kid tried to talk.

Cleaner82 - 2008-09-25

... YES. Why didn't I see it?

Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2008-09-25

Free speech is free speech. Kid and his dad may look like inbred hicks, but damn, inbred hicks have a right to say what they want. That's why it's America.

That's why I am, and shall always be, a proud American.

This post was about freedom, opportunity and responsibility.

Desidiosus - 2008-09-25

You can go anywhere in the world and say whatever you want.

The difference is that in other countries you don't get on Fox News for being a dickhead.

Cleaner82 - 2008-09-25

The first half of your statement isn't even remotely true.

Frank Rizzo - 2008-09-25

"uh yeah.. I knew he wouldnt walk away without offending someone... but uh... the people we're offending are pansies..."

auto 5 for that gem.

*watching more*

I wish I could give another 5 for Hanity telling the mini red neck that he was going to EMAIL him a T shirt and a bumper sticker. He said this twice!!!

Liberal Fascists.

Corman's Inferno - 2008-09-25

Neocon shithead.

tamago - 2008-09-25

Cena_mark, you never fail to disappoint me. Whenever I see a video like this, I think "I wonder if Cena_mark will make an idiotic comment involving anti-liberalism." Thanks for not letting me down, man.

Also, while I believe in free speech and all (even for inbred fucktards like Dann and Daxx,) that shirt was obviously just a ploy to incite unrest. If it had simply said Obama with a no sign through it, that would have been one thing. It would have just been a kid giving his opinion. But since he equated Obama with terrorism, that little fuckweasel got exactly what he deserved. I'd hold the exact same opinion if it had been an anti-McCain shirt with the same message, btw.

KnowFuture - 2008-09-26

Eat a dick.

B. Weed - 2008-09-26

I want to see you become the first case of masturbation-induced penile degloving.

phalsebob - 2008-10-09

Hey, I'm a liberal and I support this kid's right to wear inane and offensive t shirts. I'm sending him some Free Mustache Rides shirts and some 2 Girls 1 Cup shirts. Wear them proudly, Daxx.

sickbacchus - 2008-09-26

I'm five-starring mostly for the labored breathing of the child means that he'll probably be dead before me.

Xenocide - 2008-09-26

DAXX DALTON: Martian private eye!

I see his parents follow the Sarah Palin school of retarded Pokemonesque child names.

Goethe and ernie - 2008-09-26

The extra X in Daxx represents this chubby young political commentator's extra chromosome.

Cube - 2008-09-26

I'll always 5-star a guy who, on live broadcast, says he's going to e-mail shirts and bumper stickers.

Rudy - 2008-09-26

He hates people who say ridiculous things.

Testicles of Doom - 2008-09-26

"SHUT THE FUCK UP DAXX DALTON, YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!"

klingerbgoode - 2008-10-02

i love how sean hannity asks if the shirt is referring to obama's "friendship" with ayers of the weathermen. daxx and his father's reaction is that they've probably never heard of ayers.

"uhhh, we made the shirt because his middle name's hussein. duh!'

IloveHughLaurie - 2009-03-01

"We were kinda talking about something else...because mostly it was to inform them that he wants to give them a fair trial" OMG a fair trial?! We are American's, not fair people!!! How dare he!
