This sounds trite, but your summation reads like TV Guide in Hell.
Imagine watching this and it's the only thing you ever heard of about the Third Reich. Imagine watching this and it's the only thing you ever heard of about TV. I think a re-reading of "The Man In The High Castle" is in order, for me.
Truly sinister, but my interest in all things prototypical makes it fascinating. It also throws pretty much all of early American programming into context as a placation device for WW2 vets and Korean soldiers.
