if there wasn't so much of his stuff that was just thoroughly banal I'd be tempted to think 'big al' was someone's comedy charater after the opening bit of this where he asserts he KNOWS GOOD MOVIE because he was born in the eighties and listened to a rundown of classic rock station mainstays and was in choir (presumably as a soprano)
