RoboCop basically trashed that car and dubbed it 6000 SUX.

To this day, I still can't find out if it was product placement gone bad.

eatenmyeyes - 2008-12-09

added 6000 tag to SUX advert

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2009-01-20

It's some sort of late 60s/early 70s landbarge in Robocop. I thought they were parodying pre-71 cars with high compression engines and utterly shitty mileage and emissions.

Like, sending three tons from 0-60 in 5s and doing 9mpg on 100 octane leaded gas.

Cleaner82 - 2008-12-08

"Hey, yeah, this car isn't bad, huh?"

"I guess."

"Whatever."

PONTIAC 6000

What about Alexander the Great's road Sedan? He toppled the Persian Empire with it!

The worst commercial of all time, by the way, is every freecreditreport.com commercial ever made.

buttnutt - 2008-12-09

Probably, He did say probably.

robotkarateman - 2008-12-09

F-R-E-E That spells "Free"
CreditReport-dot-com-baybee!

Is one of the greatest weapons-grade earworms ever devised by Soviet scientists.

Frank Rizzo - 2008-12-08

FUCK YOU BALTIMORE!!!!

Burnov - 2008-12-08

It looks like a cutlass ciera.

And those cars were wretched pieces of automotive engineering.

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2008-12-08

Wow. I went from not being aware of a product to finding it crappy in less than 15 seconds. Did Chrysler secretly make this advert?

dubz - 2008-12-09

I was waiting for my car to be inspected at a service station and this guy walked in and said he needed an oil change "for my goolie".

The guy at the counter asked him to clarify and he said "It's a Pontiac goolie!"

I peeked out the window, it was a Pontiac 6000 LE.

phalsebob - 2008-12-09

It was the best thing to come out of Detroit. Meaning it wasn't on fire.

athodyd - 2008-12-09

Whatever comes out of the auto bailout, I would at least like a written apology to me for having to own a Sunbird.

zatojones - 2008-12-09

We need to bail out the Big 3 so they can make the next generation of 6000

1394 - 2008-12-09

6000 SUX.

minimalist - 2008-12-09

Jesus, I had to drive a 6000 LE when I couldn't afford an actual car. A tepid, hedged endorsement from a mincing little fellow with a lisp was far, far better than it deserved.

However, it did have great speakers. I'll give it that much. Clearest sound of any car I've driven. PUH WOB A WEE.

Rape Ape - 2008-12-09

My first car was a 1986 6000 STE. . . Wasn't bad at all, and I could fill up my tires from the trunk.

King of Balls - 2008-12-09

Best car I ever owned. These two milquetoasts don't know what's up.

chumbucket - 2008-12-09

I wasn't ready to 5 star this vid...then I read all of the comments above...favorite: "goolie", hilarious

hammsangwich - 2008-12-10

And how is this car different than the Bonneville and Grand Prix of the same vintage?
