This is a good movie, but I dunno about one of the best sci-fi films. The movie would have worked so much better without the extra characters, or at least, making them something more interesting than a soap-opera style plot addition.

I disagree. He finds himself more isolated with the addition of the other characters than he was without. It's bitter irony. Bitter, bitter.

The user who has posted all these movies has posted far better sci fi, some of the greatest Russian sci-fi in the world.
