Aw. Man.
I'm just kind of blown away and feel all positive inside. I think it's nice to have that Mike Rowe thing on testicles and work in the same week as this guy - just some guy doing what he does and having a damn good time at it! I just feel so nice about the Internet today! He's a nose and throat surgeon in Singapore and he makes me so happy, it's so awesome.

oddeye - 2009-01-16 I favoured this because I work in an emergency operating thatre. It's nice to see a procedure from this angle, well explained plus the music soothes my dog to sleep.

oddeye - 2009-01-16 OOO I'm so glad you mentioned it. Where I work we call that a dithermy pencil and it's probably my favourite impliment in the theatre. The smell it produces, especially when cutting through fat, is similar to burnt pig (depends on the tissue though) and is mouth-wateringly delicious.
Unfortunately since the air is changed so often it does not linger, which is a shame as it always reminds me of my mothers cooking. Sometimes it's nice to just stand, inhale and daydream while waiting for orders from my seniors.

oddeye - 2009-01-16 Jesus, what is wrong with my spelling. I must be getting teary-eyed from all this talk about work.
DIATHERMY pencil sorry. I will shut up now.

I was hoping towards the end he'd just put a hand in there and rip it out, followed by a camera pan and zoom out showing the bloody mass in his raised hand and a wild look on his face yelling "Banzai!!" with cartoony blast graphics framing the entire shot
guess that didn't happen

"Ok, I can do this. I WILL make it through one of these surgery videos. Alright... first cut, that's not so bad. Oh, I didn't realize they used adrenaline to do that, interest-BLEEUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHH OH GOD NOW THERE'S BLOOD FUCKKKKKK"
Pretty much my experience with every medical video ever.
