Has anyone played scorched3d (scorched3d.co.uk)? It's a pretty fun modern-day adaptation of the original game, too.

HankFinch - 2009-02-05 While others may have had more options, I thought WORMS 2 was the most fun, playable, goofy fun, oh and fun of these type of games.

fatatty - 2009-02-05 Actually the original "tank" game was Tank Wars which was released a year before Scorched Earth. That was the one I always played, mostly because I never had Scorched Earth. I assume everyone gives it to Scorched Earth because it had a sweeter name.

KnowFuture - 2009-02-05 I think Scorched Earth had a wider array of weapons than Tank Wars, too.

A visual representation of my face while watching this - :D
And then I was all "man, that's a little ridiculous - you couldn't do backflips in the original!"

So, it's like Gunbound, only without all the anime fagginess.
|
fatatty - 2009-02-05 Sort of except it's all real time so there is no taking turns, just waiting for your current weapon to reload.

Awesome! Death Tank always did deserve to be more than an obscure secret in the Saturn version of Quake.
I can't wait for the 6 month delay on the network patch.

StanleyPain - 2009-02-05 If the game ever comes out. From what I've read, the game was finished almost a year ago, but is one of those XBLA titles stuck in "MS Approval" hell.
