Well, that's mad creepy.. I just finished watching this for the first time. And, yes, the end credits were very nice.

Helena Handbasket - 2009-02-24

Same here. POE-TV has been pretty consistently creepy this way for me lately. I'm waiting for a Red Dawn clip to appear....

RockBolt - 2009-02-23

Just this has more to it in craft and meaning than most entire movies made by other computer animation studios

Disaster - 2009-02-24

I loved this movie. I just wish wish wish that Pixar wasn't owned by Disney.

spencer - 2009-02-24

Ditto. I think this every time I buy the new Pixar DVD and see the artful packaging blemished by the stupid "mickey mouse points" logo.

Aernaroth2 - 2009-02-24

They were free men, once. And one day, they shall be free again.

StanleyPain - 2009-02-24

Isn't it pretty much the reverse now? I thought Pixar wielded some pretty mighty power over there now. Aren't they basically in charge of the whole theatrical animation division?

themilkshark - 2009-02-24

In name, the almost century old company reigns... But the brains and heart of the entire Disney/Pixar empire is actually Pixar's founders. They canned the first attempt at a Tinkerbell movie because it turned the classic character into a Bratz doll.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-02-24

And I wish Disney wasn't owned by Steve Jobs...

pastorofmuppets - 2009-02-24

Actually, I'm lying. Disney's doing much better now that Pixar is back in the fold. What I really wish is that it was just Pixar and they figured out their own distribution. Screw Disney.

anvill - 2009-02-24

I walked out of the theater after watching the best movie of the year talking about its end credits.
Those first two minutes are great.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2009-02-24

Did anyone else feel disappointed that the humans got to return to Earth instead of the robots getting to take it over as their homeworld?

kingarthur - 2009-02-24

This song is love.

rustedmutt - 2009-02-24

Always five for Peter Gabriel.

Blaise - 2009-02-24

The only movie I've taken my 4-year-old to the theater to see. He was so entranced by it we were able to stay through the credits. He loved that bit at the very end.

GiantAtomicFreak - 2009-02-24

Pixar: Hey, let's spend a few years expertly crafting an animated film using these computers with an attention to story, detail and aesthetics that pushes the art form to bold new hights.

Everyone else: Hey, kids fuckin' love computers. What are Ray Romano and Queen Latifa doing?

kingarthur - 2009-02-24

Bulbed.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2009-02-24

Double-bulbed.

GiantAtomicFreak - 2009-02-24

I don't know what that means.

Fuck Slumdog. This was the best movie of the year. I watched five minutes of the Oscars, long enough to see actors lined up to tell other actors how wonderful and brave they were, as actors, just like we are, as actors, beautiful and brave and true, the actors' way, and by the way, did I mention that one time I did that acting... and fled the room before my television blew up from all the radioactive smugness. Such people could never imagine a medium without their glorious presence as worthy of actual commendation. Ladies and gentlemen, for your consideration in the category of Most Startlingly Mismatched - Wall-E, Kung Fu Panda, and Bolt.

oogaBooga - 2009-02-24

5 for wall-e

Mayberry Pancakes - 2009-02-24

I saw this movie with art majors. They were squealing like babies at this.

Also this is the only movie I have ever seen where there was an equal number of families, teenagers/young adults on dates, and friends.

spikestoyiu - 2009-02-24

I don't want to watch something that'll hurt my eyes!

Harveyjames - 2009-02-24

This movie is like a feature-length Cal-Arts grad film

HURF BLURF DUH - 2009-02-25

That must be a pretty fucking good school then.

God forbid we should actually have people making movies like they give a shit about what they're doing instead of how big a mountain of cocaine they can buy with the proceeds.

Corman's Inferno - 2009-02-25

This movie made me cry over a ROBOT. If you can do better, I'd like to see it.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2009-02-26

Everyone named Harvey is a soulless shit.

Xiphias - 2009-02-26

they're cute as far as credits go but "eye-achingly beautiful" makes me want to teabag you to death with a baseball bat, however that works.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-08

D:

Mister Yuck - 2009-03-08

I like that its art history goes from Van Gogh to pixel art. That seems about right.

echolalia - 2011-04-06

Uh, I think that's pointilism.
