I love the "History has shown..." argument that these invariably come to. For the argument to work, you have to have an unflagging universal empire that has lasted for thousands of years BECAUSE of pure moral behavior and absolute dictatorial control over every single member of the society, for control purposes.

Of course, we don't have that, so that's like saying "It's unfair that some people die" when we don't have an immortal race of superbeings that don't die to compare it to.
