There was a nice quirks and quarks episode for Darwin's birthday. All audio, but a great insight in to his life and contributions: http://www.cbc.ca/quirks/archives/08-09/qq-2009-02-07.html
The meaning science and spirituality is the same... just observe.
You know, its easy to dismiss this sort of explanation of obvious facts when the people in the clips are YouTube whackjobs and discredited fundamentalists. But when you see a guy who's a serious Presidential contender repeating the same nonsense, you realize how important it is to remind people.
It's worse than that, even. The fact that you have to explain things with the accuracy and verbosity of this video when they can just say "it's just a theory, duh" makes it looks like you have something to hide, that there's some sort of misdirection that all of the detailed arguing is necessary for.
And that stems from a larger problem: this rash of "well if it was good enough for my pappy" idealism. Anti-intellectualism, basically, and a distrust of science because it isn't blue collar enough.
Even VenomFangX, who is just a sniveling kid and was shown to be one in public, probably has *more* supporters because thunderfoot's replies to him got so popular. They'll see him as "silver tongued", an ad hominem fallacy, precisely because he's the type of guy who'll sit there and explain what a logical fallacy is. It's ironic.
