We did a performance of this for eighth grade english in junior high, and it's one of my favorite movies. Regrettably it remains socially apt.

I'd like you to meet my friend, Pat Liberal Parable.

Bort - 2009-04-09 Well he IS right that 10AM is reminiscent of a morality play -- many of the characters are embodiments of one vice or another ("selfish indifference", "bigotry", "inability to be impartial"), and that works against its persuasive potential.

Johnny Roastbeef - 2009-04-09 And so is To Kill a Mockingbird. Yes, it's a story that uses a contrived set of facts to draw attention to a societal problem, but it doesn't mean that you can just write off its point with a wave of your hand. Obviously in the real world there's almost always more doubt and uncertainty in the facts than are present in these stories. But allowing that fact to justify disdain for the message and adherence to your prejudices is rocking some mean ignorance, dude.

Jeff Fries - 2009-04-09 It's not ignorance, it's an overrated movie with at least one unbearable scene and a lot of good actors playing cartoons. When you're older you'll understand.

Jeff Fries - 2009-04-09 In any case, why waste your time on this when Bigger than Life is only a few notches down

Jeff Fries - 2009-04-09 I'm not trolling 'teach, and don't even try to troll me by pretending to be a moralizing liberal
