I've gone to one of these types of seminars, for a job one time. It was exactly like this, only for a weekend. There were lots of exercises geared towards self realization, and people were encouraged to "be themselves" by doing random things if they felt like it. One guy just cawed like a bird and some other dude kept flinging his dreadlocks everywhere and eventually did really bad beat poetry, all while crawling around like an ape and grunting and sniffing the carpet.

At one point there were exercises designed to explore one another physically, which I can only describe as being strange.
