I believe I have seen 4 different angles of this event now. I am amazed at how pervasive media is and how quickly it is online.

I'm just an or-di-na-ry guy... Burning down the house.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-06-17

Things like this remind me why I cannot respect the conservative/right-leaning demographic in society. I can deal with stupidity, but I can't withhold my contempt for cowardice and hypocrisy. In their minds, every teabagger sees themselves as equally, if not moreso, heroic than these kids. And just last week they were still hoping for the chance to drop bombs on the 'ragheads'.

Dr Dim - 2009-06-17

That's a pretty strange generalisation you've got going there.

Louis Armstrong - 2009-06-17

Well to be fair, he is the witty pop culture reference.

Five for anarchy crushing crowd shooting. :(

FABIO - 2009-06-17

PARTY # THE FIRE

FUCK THIS BASIJ

Aoi - 2009-06-17

The one thing that the thugs that came to power via the revolution in the 70s fear more than anything else in the world, include America's military or Israel's nukes, is the youth of their own country carrying out a revolution of their own.

I have no pithy commentary beyond this to offer.

godot - 2009-06-17

Unfortunately, its just an outpost, not THE Basij HQ.

fatatty - 2009-06-17

I hope once America starts seeing these images they might think twice about how much they want to bomb these people.

simon666 - 2009-06-17

"Look these people are bad people and I know that it was unpopular to call them part of an axis of evil or whatever it was, but we just showed again that an oppressive regime will not allow democratic elections, free and democratic elections," Mr. McCain insisted.

memedumpster - 2009-06-17

Think twice!? These people want to take our latte's! Look at them, they're unordered AND brown!

We need to nuke the site from orbit!

fatatty - 2009-06-17

Well I think everyone agrees with McCain that the regime is evil. However the country as a whole is not. This is of course always the case with repressive leaders that many people seem to forget.

And there are better ways to change regimes than the glass parking lot method. Apparently letting the people get fed up might be enough in Iran's case. Though, had Israel or the US bombed them they might not have been so willing to turn on Ahmadinejad.

afp3683 - 2009-06-22

They do want our lattes. A Starbucks on every corner in Tehran.

Triggerbaby - 2009-06-17

BASIJ DAY!!!
