Republicans take to persecution complexes like a fly takes to shit.

Thats not bullying at all. He asked a very simple and straightforward yes or no question and got a blithering stump speech every time from an empty suit full of insurance company receipts. That pissed him off just like it pissed me off.
The "you wonder why no one listens (?) to MSNBC" line was rich too, especially because exchanges like this are exactly why I watch hardball whenever I can.
The evidence is in: Lawrence O'Donnell is the man and should get his own show.

"Can you say yes or no?"
We need more people straight-up calling out liars like this. LOVE IT.

Fatty Fatface was really calm for being made to look like an asshole. "We don't want anyone between us and a doctor." Except of course our vicious, vampire-minded insurance companies.

1:30 in and I'm already pausing to favorite it. This guy should replace Chris Matthews immediately.

I love the "Hey, Congressman!" line. I think Lawrence interrupts him with "hey" a couple times. It's so disdainful and appropriate.

Wow, my disdain for TV news isn't complete anymore.

Question, Dodge, Question again, Dodge, Question again, Dodge, Simpler Question, Criticism.....the answer basically never comes, "I'm here to talk"...clearly not to answer though

The Bill O' Reilly personality type is awesome when it's on your side, isn't it?
|
simon666 - 2009-08-16 Decent point, however, O'Donnell stays away from fallacies in a way O'Reilly cannot do. O'Reilly is a man of maxims and as such argues points based on the broad swash of those maxims. O'Donnell, often, and as demonstrated here, forces those he interviews to take their position to the logical conclusion to show flaws in a particular position. Furthermore, O'Donnell has a better understanding of government.
From wikipedia: "O'Donnell is widely known as an outspoken television political commentator, and was the Democratic Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Finance from 1993 through 1995. In 1992, he was Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works."

HankFinch - 2009-08-16 It's so much better letting someone complete their idea and THEN tear them down
|
simon666 - 2009-08-16 I'd agree normally, but anyone with half a brain can extrapolate what Culberson was going say, making the road he travels to get there unnecessary.

True Fact: Liars object to being called liars. Comedy ensues.

I love love love that he reaches for the Maury defense, as in 'You don't know me! Y'all don't know me!'
