As a Peace Corps volunteer serving in the former USSR buffer nations, I can pretty much assure you that everybody in those areas is like this.

I haven't watched this video, but I have a story to tell about when I was studying abroad in St. Petersburg.

Some Kazakhs moved into a room across from ours, and the mother of one of them was also visiting. She would invite us all over for food every night, and cook these feasts of horse meat and who knows what else. She would take Absinthe shots and inhale the fumes with the rest of us. At one point, one of her son's friends/roomies was talking about music with me (I probably brought up my love of music) and he explained his feelings towards Tupac thus:

"My favorite is Tupac Shakur, may he rest in piece. Sometimes I pretend I am nigger from West Side."
