This was on from 1994 to 1998. I was 13 at the time this first aired. Larisa Oleynik (Alex Mack) is the same age I am. So naturally this was one of the first chicks I really dug when I hit puberty. The second chick was Jodie Sweetin on the last season of Full House when she finally started to blossom.
I just checked Larisa's IMDB page to see what she's doing now. She has turned into one attractive lady - and hopefully avoided that whole methamphetamine thing that Jodie went through.

I never got into this show, mainly because I thought being able to melt was a really stupid superpower. For preteen crushes I much preferred Clarissa (who explained it all) and the girl who played Darlene on Roseanne (who tragically grew up to become a skanky lesbian.)

HarrietTubmanPI - 2009-09-21 Darlene had a very interesting personae as she embodied the less attractive chick who made up for it by being very snarky and very intelligent. As for Clarissa - the opening of the show in her exposed mid-riff outfit was not a bad memory of my childhood.
It's funny how Nickelodeon did subtle things right at the time I noticed girls more.
