My wife had a (very) brief stint working at a Q'Doba in Madison Wisconsin post-liberal-arts-degree-graduation. They're owned by Jack in The Box so they share the same Food Handling Manuals and stuff. If you don't recall back this far, Jack in the Box had a huge problem with people dying from eating their food back in the early 90s.
As a result of this, the food handling/preparation/sanitation procedures are so strictly enforced that you're more likely to get sick from eating at the fanciest, most expensive restaurant in your city than you are from eating at a Jack in the Box.
That being said, I've still never eaten at a Jack In The Box due to the e-coli scare some two decades ago. How ironic.
Also this commercial is funny. Reminds me of "100 Tacos For 0" on the Simpsons

Charles - 2009-10-01 Same principle applies to the food carts, at least in Portland, if not everywhere. The health department or whatever watches them so closely and can shut them down so quickly, that they're probably the safest places to eat. Nonetheless, every time I order from a Mexican cart, I do think about the time there was a foot-long black hair in my machaca burrito once.
Anyway, I remember the Jack in the Box scandal too, but I ate there once or twice a couple years ago and it was pretty decent as fast-food goes.
