This was way too long, but I'm five starring it for learning that Double Dragon was a sort of sequel to Renegade. I also had Renegade for NES and I assumed it was a knock off. All I really remember about it was that it was unnecessarily hard, it had no plot that was ever explained, and you had to fight a huge woman named Kim many times.
I never finished it, so I don't know if it had a final boss with a machine gun like DD.
All I remember about Renegade was the first level boss, the fat dyke who picks you up, slaps you around and says "WANNA FIGHT?" in surprisingly high quality sampled voice for the time.
Mastertronic published a baseball game for the C64 even though the programmer had no idea how baseball was played. The little umpire hollered "valid" instead of "strike" and there were cheerleaders between innings.
