Yeah, this is a video and it probably belongs on 73q, but the main reason I put it here is because holy crap, that's some sharp sharp editing.

Also, let's be completely honest. There are some terrrrrrrible songs in this mix.

Meerkat - 2009-12-29

What the hell is with autotune in everything these days? Back in my day voices sounded like voices, not some sort of Ray Kurzweil abortion machines. Oh these kids with their newfangled buzzing and fuzzing and bleeping and blooping with the rapping and the crapping and the tapping where are my puddings.

Sprinkles - 2009-12-29

Even if the video wasn't awesome, 5 for you my friend!

spikestoyiu - 2009-12-29

Man, pop stars sure have gotten a lot uglier.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2009-12-29

Lady Gaga fucks the curve up big time.

TeenerTot - 2009-12-29

No rating from these comments? Screw you all. This made me smile.

poorwill - 2009-12-29

This doesn't really sound much (any?) better than any of the songs it frankensteined itself out of.

revdrew - 2009-12-29

Really. Technically impressive, but this music is diarrhea in any form.

Candlejackv616 - 2009-12-30

Agreed, it still sounds bland as shit. What struck me is how femme alot of the music this past year was.

phalsebob - 2009-12-29

Truly a tapestry of the blandest, most manufactured widget-songs of 2009. Goodbye 2009, you were... something that existed.

James Woods - 2009-12-29

I also have a feeling every time i hear that fucking black eye peas song.

Solid editing, I didn't end up really liking anything else about this though.

Udderdude - 2009-12-29

No, it still sucks, sorry.

Kumquatxop - 2009-12-29

I am pretty sure that's the point?

BaconAficionado - 2009-12-29

I don't recognize any of these people except for that guy who played a blind guy in that movie about Ray Charles.

stage - 2009-12-29

impressive stuff, 2009 was a good year for solid pop tunes.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-12-29

Did the return of "Right Round" make something inside of you snap? I'll give you "Empire State of Mind" but beyond that, holy hell. I heard some great stuff this year but none of it was on the radio.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-12-29

that sounded less mean in my head, sorry

stage - 2009-12-29

Not mean at all man, don't worry about hurting my feelings.

But, compared to the previous 20 years top pop songs, 2009 was pretty awesome, we got sweet and heavy synths in Lady Gaga tracks and that Down song by Jay Sean has something about it that sounds right. Compare that to shit like NSYNC, Shawn Desman and all of yesteryears garbage.

Its not like I listen to this stuff voluntarily, but when I hear it Im not recoiling inside with hatred.

Gojira1000 - 2009-12-29

People wonder why I drive around in a F-150 with The Who in the CD player. This is why. (Five for the editing, -3 for the goddamn noise)

lucienpsinger - 2009-12-29

You bought a gargantuan truck because of pop music?

KnowFuture - 2009-12-29

Feel completely justified in ignoring about 99% of current pop music all year now.

zerobackup - 2009-12-30

Yeah, I can honestly say that every single song used in this mashup is a fucking travesty. Nice job mixing them together, but if you mix up the dung of 100 different animals you're still left with a giant pile of shit.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-12-30

You know what I really like? DIRECTV®. Buy some. Buy some DIRECTV®.
It has lots of channels, and there's a remote too. You know you like all that stuff. Like mom said when dad passed, "There's good TV, and then there's better TV, and then there's DIRECTV®." You can't beat that kind of homespun wisdom and you can't beat DIRECTV®.

phydeaux - 2010-01-02

How come any mention of popular music always comes with the inevitable KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN

dora's cough - 2010-01-02

feels good on my ears
