What made him a good host was his sincere fascination with cheap horror movies, he'd lay a ton of interesting trivia on you throughout the movie. Plus he's my favorite Texan ever.

Monstervision and MST3K were pretty much television perfection.

That bit about Jack Brady being the ugliest man in the history of film is quite an accomplishment. I have a fascination with the obscure history of the casts of horrendous films like this. I am in awe of Briggs' knowledge.
