Well, I mean, yeah you have to proofread God's stuff. He's a great idea-man, but a lousy speller. Nevermind his use of commas. Long paragraphs with none, and suddenly a comma after every word.
Actually, if you consider yourself to be an intelligent person and have any interest in the Western tradition of thought and literature whatsoever, not being conversant with the New Testament (at the very least) is inexcusable. Even if you are an atheist.
