I'm sorry I should have worded that better. I'm giving the dad my stars cause he doesn't look that upset. He looks a little disappointed like he's thinking, "Damn, there goes the tax write-off." At least, that's what I see from the look on his face.

If you watch other footage the dad has been crying off and on for hours. This is one of the moments in between where he just looks dead inside.

It must be pretty awesome to be able to gauge another person's grief over the death of their child by watching a two second news clip.

Watching it again and hearing the father made me cry.

The woman who fought with officers. The grandma who came downstairs and was run into by officers who had just shot her granddaughter in the fucking head.

And then they arrested her and held her for 12 hours, after she just watched her granddaughter die.

Also, before the raid, a relative told police there were children inside the house, and pointed to toys in the front yard. “‘There’s kids in the house,’ I said five times, ‘there are kids in the house.’”

It sounds like they were trying to blame the grandmother until they realized there was no evidence to back it up:

Mertilla Jones was arrested and held for nearly 12 hours Sunday. Before she was released, she said, she submitted to a drug test and a chemical test on her hands to determine the possible presence of gunpowder that would have indicated she was close to a discharged firearm.

Later on Sunday, police said the two may have simply collided inside the house. On Tuesday, Mertilla Jones said she never touched an officer, but instead hit the floor when a flash grenade went off. She then noticed her granddaughter's horrific wound.

See, one of the most important functions of the police is to make sure innocent people don't get killed. When they shoot a sleeping child after setting her on fire, yes, they are 100% wrong. I'm willing to accept you thinking I'm naive for believing this.
