Why is Shatner cosplaying as John Goodman in the Big Lebowski?

They seriously block this PREVIEW from being watched outside the USA? Oh well. I saw it somewhere else. "From the creators of Will & Grace" was a good point to stop watching.

pineapplejuicer - 2010-05-23 see that doesn't make any sense to me, its youtube too. stupid CBS. maybe they think we're the only ones who'll actually go for something so profoundly...i want to say insipid but good for that guy for turning his shitty living situation into sitcom money.
|
boner - 2010-05-23 Well yeah. That guy probably made more money than Twitter itself has.

'One Season Wonders' should be activated post haste!

Fuck this. Give me TJ Hooker The Next Generation.

I don't buy Shatner in this role. The dad character needs to be gruff and exasperated.
|
azazel - 2010-05-23 Agreed. One star for the show being ill-conceived and banal.

Oh dear god, not one, but TWO former MadTV stars? And they both look way worse than they did when they left MadTV, especially Nicole Sullivan.
Looks like Small Wonder may finally have a worthy contender for it's position of worst sitcom ever.
|
FABIO - 2010-05-23 Will Sasso was probably the only funny guy involved with MAD TV, along with David Herman and Artie Lange.
|
|
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-05-24 Nicole Sullivan is hilarious to me, but yeah, is she addicted to drugs or something? She looks like hell.

A TV series inspired by an idiotic Twitter feed is a horrible idea, so it's only appropriate that it's on CBS I guess, home to bilge as 2 and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother and that one sitcom that asks viewers to buy a badly aged, even more skeevy looking David Spade as a Lothario who gets with all the ladies.

There isn't a proper way to rate a TV show based on a twitter page.

Oh, thank Heavens. It still has heart.

This reminds me of a show within a show. Like the show is actually about Shatner an actor who gets a job on a terrible sitcom. I love Bill and I'll watch it for him and the train wreck this is gonna be. This will tank faster than Hank and The Caveman show.
5 stars for Shatner

Laugh Track = Crap Show.
The era of the laugh track is OVER!!!
What are the best comedies in the last 10 years? Arrested Development, The Office and 30 Rock. None of these use laugh tracks. Laugh tracks are an insult to the viewer because they presume we don't recognize funny. It also breaks up the rhythm of the comedy so there is no ability to be subtle or soft spoken. The shows mentioned above as well as several others without laugh tracks are so great because you can rewatch them and catch little asides or throwaway gags that you didn't see the first time.
END THE LAUGH TRACK!!!
