Richard Dunn was unironically a great straight man. He could take the most mundane lines and just do it in his akward confused old man voice and it would come out gold.

From what I've heard, he was basically just playing himself on the show. Which is awesome. I also heard he was very nice to his fans and liked his cult celebrity status.

Richard Dunn, you will be missed.
