Was it playing at the Underground Cinema in Toronto? Cause that's where I saw it a week or so ago, and it was more then I could ever hope for.

Everyone, do yourself a favour and watch this movie. It's incredible.

According to the guy that was showcasing this at the theatre, the Indonesian area is quite conservative and they were going through this governmental change. They decided that rather then letting Hollywood movies flood their market, they should make their own. Problem was they had been letting Hollywood movies into the country and everyone had a taste for them now. So when they made their own movies they took well known Hollywood films, and replaced parts with local culture and such to appeal to the local audience and used English actors.

(Not quite verbatim but that's basically the idea.)

So in this movie they stripped out all the Sci-Fi and replaced it with a legend of a sea witch but it has the exact same scenes and structure as the original Terminator did.

It's fucking magical.
