I did try to understand, you know? I watched some episodes of Tom Goes to the Mayor, and watched some of "Awesome Show" and while I can sort of, kind of appreciate their commitment to looking as crappy and "low-rent local TV production" as humanly possible, at least 99.99999% of their output just isn't funny. I mean, I thought that Cincophone commerical with Ed Begley Jr. was kind of amusing but it had more to do with Begley's delivery than anything else.
I just find myself turned off by their constant reliance on cheap gross-out humor and the aren't-we-clever-wink-wink faux-awkwardness that permeates almost every second of their shows.
