If I was homophobic, I would probably feel more comfortable at a Cher concert than at a professional wrestling match.

mouser - 2010-08-12

«pro wrestling at its absolute worst»

You're implying it got better.

Mike Tyson?! - 2010-08-12

I actually watch this video once a month because I still think it's funny.

Didn't The New Age Outlaws break up at the turn of the century?

Hooper_X - 2010-08-12

I thought they were still together over in the oh so inventively named TNA.

Riskbreaker - 2010-08-12

After a match with Danshoku Dino and Hard Gay it would be just Mr Broken Ass.

Hooper_X - 2010-08-12

Man, as soon as I saw the title I immediately shouted I'M AN AYSS MAYUN!!!! to nobody in particular.

Well, my baby seemed amused.

Adramelech - 2010-08-12

So many asses, so little time
A little tight one can stop me on a dime
I'm a lover, one of a kind
The best surprises always did come from behind

kennydra - 2010-08-12

after the new age outlaws split up and the "mr ass" gimmick got stale they teamed him up with another guy named chuck palumbo and they were know simply as "billy & chuck" and their gimmick was that they were gay. even had a gay wedding ceremony on one of the many wwf tv shows

twinkieafternoon - 2010-08-13

The weird thing was that all those solid, red-state wrestling fans LOVED Billy & Chuck, and cheered them on like they were B&C's supportive ugly single girl-friends.

SDAusmus - 2010-08-13

Billy Gunn, the man who got a thousand undeserved chances in the pro wrestling business simply because he was over 6'2" and had a good physique.

twinkieafternoon - 2010-08-13

He was a tremendous storyteller, when he was motivated. There were a LOT of old Smoking Gunns and early Outlaws matches where he carried the entire ring of wrestlers on his back to a decent showing.

Vince wanted to go Shawn Michaels style to-the-moon with Gunn, who he saw as very-credible-champ material...but Gunn was lazy and didn't have the "killer instinct" (lack of a better term) that would have made him more aggressive in becoming a more important draw while pursuing opportunities and storylines backstage. He wanted days off, midcard fueds, to be in tag teams, stuff like that; whereas everybody else saw him as main event material (main eventers have a MUCH tougher schedule and more pressure on them). So, it was one of those, "no matter how good he is, he's percieved as a dissapointment" kind of deals that athletes with a lot of talent but no drive are laden with (think Shawn Marion with the Suns or Joba with the Yankees).

Billy is/was really good. He was just too forgiving and bored.

I insist, the few wrestling fans in poetv deserve a forum, we deserve it!
