I flipped on the news while at my job today, and CNN was interviewing attendants to this rally.

It was stated that those interviewed said this was in no way a political rally, but merely a patriots coming together.

The CNN did say as they were interviewing one of the attendants, a group of Revolutionary costumed individuals were gleefully shouting how they are going to mop up in this years election, and 2012's.

uekibachi - 2010-08-28

if this doesnt get the white people tag, i dont know what does

SolRo - 2010-08-29

That just goes too far right there.

These aren't white people, they are troglodytes that have evolved in such an intellectualy deficient cave that their brains have withered to 0.02% the size of a normal white person.

memedumpster - 2010-08-29

So which would be better? White people tag or yee haw motherfuckers im american tag? I could see those crossing over a lot.

SolRo - 2010-08-29

Most white people that AREN'T this fucking retarded.

Hell, there are a lot of heehaw trailer trash americans that aren't THIS amazingly, impossibly fucking stupid.

These people are just...So very very stupid that to describe them as any group other than themselves is an insult.

So how about; 'Becktards'?

memedumpster - 2010-08-29

azazel - 2010-08-29

re: Becktards. It's now linked.

Dicknuts - 2010-08-29

"Welcome to the 11th Annual Gathering of the Baby Boomers."

jangbones - 2010-08-29

less than 75K

ignore them

Old_Zircon - 2010-08-29

I saw over 750k people there early in the Bush administration, that didn't accomplish much either.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-08-29

Beck said it was as much as 500,000 but the lamestream keeps trying to Muslim him down on the number.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-08-29

jokes in poor taste aside, i'm seeing 80-90k in places that aren't overtly biased

Cena_mark - 2010-08-29

The libs wouldn't so horribly under count if they weren't scared.

TheSupafly - 2010-08-29

Conservatives should be scared of these idiots destroying their party.

dr_rock - 2010-08-29

Hell, I've been to several Phish shows with this many attendees, in middle of nowhere no less.

Beck isn't just evil, he's an evil genius. Anyone who can go from wacky morning man to millionaire right-wing deity is impressive. He's a lot like Larry the Cable Guy that way.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-08-29

What the tea party has largely accomplished is replacing sane repubs with batty ones in the primaries. They are made up of the existing base, yet don't vote along party lines as consistently, when they do vote.

The specter of a black president has led to a rehash of the southern strategy, but this time they haven't gained any warm bodies. And while Beck's ability to manipulate their preoccupation with what they lost to the civil rights movement is fucking brilliant, behind the charisma stands not a politician or ideologue, but a but a man trying to ride out a blessing from the media gods and sell some books and gold on the side.

But yeah, we're terrified.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2010-08-29

Perfect timing for a chemtrail attack

dr_rock - 2010-08-29

The chem stuff may have collateral damage due to wind. I'm thinking A-10 Warthog strafing runs, with that avenger cannon. Also some cluster bombs.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-08-29

My kingdom for an orbiting laser cannon...

Cat_Mech - 2010-08-29

Fuck that, just inject a chemical sterilizer into the free 'Freedom Burgers' you are handing out to people there.

Squeamish - 2010-09-01

Killer bees.

13.5 - 2010-08-29

I don't watch the far right anymore, but I would like to say that the google ads include "Gold Confiscation Risk - Learn why the US confiscated gold in 1933 & how to protect yourself" and "Ford F-150 Raptor Videos"

poorwill - 2010-08-29

I get 'Weightwatchers - Join now for *'.

Jet Bin Fever - 2010-08-29

I wonder if he knows that Aaron Copeland was a Gay Jew from Brooklyn, and if he were alive he probably would've denied its use here.

kingarthur - 2010-08-29

Boy, I'm glad I'm not the allegorical equivalent of Poland right now...

wtf japan - 2010-08-29

Shhhhhh. There's no need to get hysterical until it's too late.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-08-29

Or even the equivalent of Polish immigrants in Ireland.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-08-29

Almost every comment on the conservative blogs about this starts with "I bet the left really hate this!" or "I wonder what those Leftists think about this!" etc. I can't tell if they're taking siege mentality lessons from North Korea or they literally can't form sentences that don't demonize people.

SolRo - 2010-08-29

"The left just wants you to think we literally can't form sentences that don't demonize people!"

Cena_mark - 2010-08-29

Make fun all you want, this is scaring the shit out of Liberals.

SolRo - 2010-08-29

This is true.

That many retards with guns is never a good thing, regardless of what cult meglomaniac they're worshiping.

(though your cult meglomaniac is a failed morning radio disk jockey who's too big a pussy to go for the grand comet/spaceship ride)

Cena_mark - 2010-08-29

I don't like Glenn Beck much, but I must defend him here. The lieberals constantly attempt to discredit him with the "failed DJ" description. Well Micheal Jordan is a failed baseball player, Hitler was a failed artist. Do we think of them for their failures? Of course not.
God forbid he succeed at something different and not be haunted by an early career. The guy makes millions more than the highest paid DJs combined.

kingarthur - 2010-08-29

Hitler as failed artist is appropriate here.

baleen - 2010-08-29

Way to shit in your own mouth, mark.

Cena_mark - 2010-08-29

The point is that nobody refers to Hitler as a "failed artist." I couldn't think of too many people who failed at one industry only to become hugely successful at another one.
He's not a failed radio disc jockey, he's a tremendously successful radio/TV talk show host, and a best selling author. The point is that it is a lame argument.
Who wants to be a radio disc jockey anyways? Yay I get to play the next song on my corporately decided play list.

baleen - 2010-08-29

Wow! It was a fun shot at redemption, but it doesn't fix the fact that you inadvertently Godwinned yourself.
And the godless lieberals have many more arguments against GB that have nothing to do with his DJ career, like that he is an awful human being for a variety of reasons and a hypocrite in general.

I personally love him. I think he drives the worst out of the GOP for all the world to see, he is the poison of the Right, right there, conveniently in front of us, and he deeply offends center voters. He is conveniently placing himself as the face of conservatism, so all I can say is that the more press he gets the happier I become...

But then, that's what the Weimar establishment said about Hitler.

memedumpster - 2010-08-29

Glenn Beck isn't scary. He makes too much money on the teabagger agenda failing loudly to ever be a real force to push it through. I can't imagine Glennbeckistan happening anytime soon.

themilkshark - 2010-08-29

I've watched his show. His act is live-action Homer Simpson idiot savante gobbledy gook, with heaps of pandering to the 50+ crowd and gross misinformation. He has grown his audience by playing on fear, resentment of the President for his politcal party and/or race and he's duped his audience to invest their money poorly for his monetary gain (which has been very lucrative for Beck so far).

If you need someone to look toward as a leader, and this guy is who you've picked... Ugh, I'm sorry. The world is evolving past you. Go hoard your gold in an underground bunker and dream of the good old days while you wait to go be with your white God.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2010-08-29

Actually, young lady Cena, you and those crackers at the rally should be worried. One day all those angry white voters who yearn for an America that never was will one day be eclipsed as the predominant voting block. Scary brown and black people will take the spotlight so you better watch your cracker ass, boy.

wtf japan - 2010-08-29

It doesn't scare me. I'm just upset that we won't get any Hugo Boss costumes or Leni Riefenstahl films out of the deal. Mormon aesthetic sensibilities leave something to be desired.

Cat_Mech - 2010-08-29

It really doesn't matter; Beck's kid's kids, just like Cena's kid's kids (or relative equivalent from another family member- niece etc) will eventually end up being corn-holed by someone from the upcoming Hispanic majority in a generation or two's time.

And by corn-holed I mean, falling in love with and polluting the pure Holy whiteness of their bloodline.

Julio! Juanita! Go sit on Grampa Cena's lap for a picture!

Accidie - 2010-08-29

OVER 1000!

kingarthur - 2010-08-29

Maybe I'm giving Beck too much credit comparing him to Il Duce and Hitler. Then again, this amount of colossal stupid, concentrated in one place...

glendower - 2010-08-29

Wow, this is insanely frightening.

phalsebob - 2010-08-29

dek863 - 2010-08-29

Was that into the "Beef:It's whats for dinner" song?

kingarthur - 2010-08-29

Oh god, you're right.

A huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. A huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. A huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. A huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. A huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. A huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. A huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. A huh huh huh

This is retarded.

Yet the "I have a scheme" speech here will morph into something I will have to talk with family about at thanksgiving. And that scares me.
