i want my eulogy autotuned

BorrowedSolution - 2010-09-17

So quashing freedom of expression is cool now? Thanks, hero!

(No, I don't agree with burning a Quran. But I strongly disagree with toplessness, 70's hairstyles and pedo glasses. And being an insufferable pussy.)

BaconAficionado - 2010-09-17

It's not freedom of expression when your a half a retard.

StanleyPain - 2010-09-17

I think people are taking this shit way too seriously. Look, if you make an ass of yourself in public, someone will call you out on it and/or interfere with your ass-ness. If this guy wants to burn fucking Korans, he can burn them as much as he wants, whenever he wants. No one is OMG OPPRESSING HIM OF HIS FREEDOM RIGHTS. Some dumbass swiped away the book during his one dumb, baby tantrum public display. Shit like that happens when you get real people together in public situations. It's funny, plain and simple. It wasn't some organized effort to deprive this douche of his freedom of speech, it was just a dumb thing done by a private citizen and no one got hurt. People need to lighten the fuck up.

BorrowedSolution - 2010-09-17

Yeah, and calling a person on their dumb-assedness is what makes the world go 'round. Stealing from them, on the other hand, just isn't legal. I'm not saying this was an organized plot against some redneck (evidence for that being zero). But this kind of thing is just adding fuel to an already well-stoked fire of ignorance and stupidity.

When protesting somebody's stupid protest, it's best not to bring yourself down to their level. If you're right about something (And pedo-glasses here WAS right in idea, if not in deed), why not just be satisfied that you know right from wrong and pat yourself on the back? Instead, he's just inviting a lot of people who get EXTREMELY uppity about this sort of thing to feel even more justified in their backward beliefs.

In closing: Fuck fundamentalism of every colour and creed. Fuck it right in the ear.

spikestoyiu - 2010-09-17

I'd disagree with toplessness too if I were fat.

kingarthur - 2010-09-17

Wow, all the fun got sucked out of this discussion really quickly.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-09-17

Oh, that poor bigot! Having his magical, all-forgiving freedom stolen from him! If only we'd just ignored the bigot, he would have learned his lesson, like it's always happened in the past!

Shut up, BorrowedSolution.

BorrowedSolution - 2010-09-17

So your contention is that this incident taught this bigot a lesson? How sure are you of that claim? This isn't a cartoon where everybody sees the error of their ways in the end. This is life, where pissing people off on purpose results in (SPOILER ALERT) people being pissed off. Again - stooping to the same level as an idiot makes YOU an idiot, too.

BorrowedSolution - 2010-09-17

All flailing aside, this was pretty entertaining, which is why I 5'ed it.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-09-17

You are saying that if you saw something bad about to happen in front of you, you'd just let it happen because you think you're too good to get involved.

You are a coward and should be regarded as such by everyone who meets you.

TheOtherCapnS - 2010-09-17

All flailing aside... Great idea!

jangbones - 2010-09-17

this is what republicans actually believe

BorrowedSolution - 2010-09-17

Hahahahahaha. Yeah, I definitely said that. I see where I said that, you're right.I wouldn't voice an opinion or anything, I would just walk away, secure in the knowledge that I'm better than the other person. Of course, you're so right. Except for the whole being wrong thing. All I'm saying is I wouldn't try to commit theft to prove my point, not that I think Mr. Intolerance was justified. Do you see the difference, here? Or should I find a cartoon that can explain this to you by sexualizing preteens?

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-09-18

That's just a wordier and less coherent version of what you said earlier, you coward.

BorrowedSolution - 2010-09-18

You're cute. It's awesome how you dodge the issue with ad hominems. You're my hero, Cam. Never change. Never.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-09-18

Fake aloofness and hypocritical accusations of ad hominem are the marks of a person who cannot defend themselves due to cowardice.

BorrowedSolution - 2014-04-18

God-damn I'm annoying sometimes.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-09-17

The way he talks makes the whole affair sound like a Dmitri Martin sketch.

Wander - 2010-09-17

I KNEW it reminded me of something!

simon666 - 2010-09-17

I'm basically five staring a thread that's not about some political bull shit. And this video that is funny.

Old_Zircon - 2010-09-17

Les Claypool?

I really wanted to 1 star this because autotuning stuff is so overdone but fuck it, it's good.

chumbucket - 2010-09-17

The Book According To Jacob

delicatessen - 2010-09-17

Meanwhile, behind him some ladies are having a nice picnic.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-09-17

I like the little laugh he has at the end, it strikes me as very genuine.

memedumpster - 2010-09-18

This video is entertaining as hell. And fuck the law sometimes, it's the spirit of America to save a discarded book from being burned.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-09-18

This man time traveled all the way from the year 1972 just to give us a message of peace and love. If you want to mock him it is at your own peril.
