Weird Al Yankovic is the dream I had in high school where I was in the bathroom at school and suddenly all of the walls disappeared and everyone could see me on the toilet but they were on fire and dying and I couldn't help them because I was on the toilet and I hated them all anyway.

profound.

Toenails - 2010-09-25

One time I had a dream about Weird Al Yankovich.

Me and my dad went to go to his book signing, which for dream reasons was in the top floor of a factory in the middle of an industrial park.

In the dream Weird Al had his mustache shaven, telling me that he likes the look and I agreed. PoeTV, I shit you not that the next time I saw him on television, his iconic mustache was gone!

On a stack of bibles!!

Oh, and this is the best scene from UHF (if the much shorter "mystery box" scene doesn't count).

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2010-09-25

The movie parody bookends were the worst part of UHF and even then they're worth 5 stars just for Weird Al's glorious mustache.

Toenails - 2010-09-25

actually, and no trolling here, I remembered that the first time I watched this movie the movie parodies were the only parts of the film I could stand. The actual plot itself gave me a headache it was so bad. Of course, now that I'm much older and wiser, the actual plotline is much more bearable than the national lampoony parodies.

But truthfully, if you want to see the *best* part of UHF, find Weird Al's commentary on this movie. I won't spoil it, but there's one part where he leaves the room that you just have to experience.

FUN FACT ABOUT ME: I saw this scene when I was very little and I think this might be first scene I ever remember seeing in a movie. I didn't even recall seeing anything else in this movie.

Also, five stars for Weird Al. I saw him live this year for the first time. I don't give a shit what kind of music you listen to, if you think going to a Weird Al concert isn't one of the greatest things you can experience on this planet then you are lying to yourself.

I loved how when this movie came out, so many serious critics completely slammed it for all these ridiculous reasons like "THE STORY IS SO SHALLOW!" and "WEIRD AL ISN'T A VERY GOOD ACTOR!" which kind of like writing a bad review of Airplane! for it's inaccurate portrayal of air travel.

BHWW - 2010-09-25

Rambo 4 should have been more like this, but still with the graphic violence.

Rofl Lobster - 2010-09-25

I'd call this my favorite childhood movie, but that would be lying.
The childhood part, that is.

RocketBlender - 2010-09-25

Ditto. I loved this movie as a kid, still do.

chairsforcheap - 2010-09-26

yep. candy bar head.

phalsebob - 2010-09-26

Five for Weird Al and Rofl Lobster's name.

Scynne - 2010-09-26

Is that Michael Richards that he rescues for whatever reason?

Robin Kestrel - 2010-09-26

Yep.

boner - 2010-09-26

I actually went to see UHF in 1989. There were about a dozen people in the theater. The scene with Stanley getting his mop back was a big hit - it woke most of us up, at least.

Squeamish - 2010-10-01

Oh yes. Weird Al may be an attention-seeking manchild, but he's my kind of attention-seeking manchild. Weird Al, this one's for you.
