I was too was a goober like this kid, it wasn't that long ago. I play Magic and enjoy it. However, me and my circle of friends befriended some new guys at our campus not too long ago. Now, they are both the type that have something to prove so they spent hundreds if not THOUSANDS of dollars on a Legacy (type 1.5) legal deck. In order to get more competitive with these losers, some of us thought we had to spend the kind of money.

Now I actually used my brain and did a little bit of research. A really solid and way the fuck more affordable deck is mono-green. I initially went closer to the original deck, 10-Land Stompy, but I decided to go with Berserk Stompy. It relies on creatures that cannot be targeted by opponents and they're like .25 cents each. It's an aggro deck that says, "If you don't have a counterspell, you're mincemeat!"

I love the deck. Zoo and Merfolk can't use removal like Unsummon or Swords to Plowshares to get rid of my creatures. If I could tell this kid something it would be this, "Look, find a cheap-ass card that is less than a dollar that people play in tournaments. Not only will you beat their ugly faces in, you spent a fraction of the money. Go child, and make this crazy broad proud!"
