OMG!!! Those of you who weren't around wouldn't believe how big this retro-psychedelic oddity was for about two weeks around 1968-69! The kids loved it, and so did their parents .I can remember the New Vaudeville band appearing on the back of my BOY'S LIFE in print Ads for Coke. It was everywhere and then BOOM! Gone and forgotten. Haven't heard the song once in 40 years.

It's better than I remember it. Underneath all the novelty is a catchy solid pop tune.

You forgot the best part - some of the songs it beat out:

"Eleanor Rigby" (The Beatles)
"Good Vibrations" (The Beach Boys)
"Last Train To Clarksville" (The Monkees)
"Cherish" (The Association)
"Monday Monday" (The Mamas and the Papas).
