I personally think he is some sort of Bond villain. When off camera, he retreats to his volcano base full of henchmen in orange jumpsuits and keeps discipline by the threat of a very large black-woman.
Okay, so there's a strong suggestion here that the US government is torturing one of it's own citizens (and make no mistake long term isolation and sleep deprivation are torture) in order to incriminate a journalist who's published embarrassing and sensitive information.

Somewhere in hell, Nixon is laughing is goddamn ass off.
A complicated world doesn't lend itself to soundbites, but Julian really needs to learn to tighten it up if he wants John Q Public not to think hes an intellectual fag terrorist.
This. Wikileaks needs PR, badly. So far they are just preaching to the choir... practically everyone willing to listen and not write them off as criminals already knew and agreed with their viewpoint. I think he and Manning badly miscalculated the lack of independence of the U.S. news media. Now that the narrative has apparently been set for the coverage, he's fighting even more of a mismatched battle.
Wasn't that guy from Young Turks? How strange to see an interview where the interviewer asks a question and then allows the interviewee to answer without 1.) Interrupting him to violently disagree with him and act like a cocksucker or 2.) Interrupt him to interject some screed that's their own opinion, then give the interviewee a few seconds to agree with said opinion.
