Bunch of good documentaries coming through the hopper lately, and this is a fine addition.
If you like this, check out Consumed by Benjamin Barber. Some of it is a bit "grandpa shaking his cane at the young folk"-ish, but it's very much in the same vein as this and a great read nonetheless.
I read this as "the Cannibalization of Children" and shuddered at the preview image.
Its good to be wrong sometimes.
So, am I the only person who read it that way and ended up being disappointed?
I only made it to clip 2 because it made my misanthropy that much worse.
I'm about to put on a cloak and carry a lamp around, banging on doors, asking "Where's the truthful man?". And Consumerist Society would scream "ME! ME! ME!".
Less meat to it than I would've liked, but I don't need a lot of convincing to hate consumerism.
Bonus points for the MBA student who describes MBA's as "some of the smartest people in the world." This is not congruent with my experience.

Amazing. Frightening. And apparently kids don't use their imaginations by as much as a 94% difference. In other words, playing by just using make believe and running around and making up their own games. 94% less. I still can't get over that.
