A few things little tiger...
Adam and Eve did not CHOOSE to go against god. They were misled by one of god's own creations, Satan. Being a supernatural being, they took him for being an authority of the same level of god. So yeah..no real choice was involved.
That said, there is no such thing as free choice is a gun is pointed at your head saying "make the right choice, or else." That isn't freedom. And you're a fucking idiot. Yeah, I know you're young, but still....

And when the stories were first written, Satan was considered to be God's servant and enforcer of justice throughout the Old Testament. Plus the snake tells them it'll given them knowledge of good and evil, while God simply says it'll kill them. So basically the snake tells the truth and God lies.
