They nearly managed to go a whole trailer without a gravely Batman roar. By now I'm expecting the next Superman reboot to be voiced by Tom Waits.

It looks entertaining to me. I never really liked the comics anyway...I always thought Green Lantern was one of the perfect examples of a comic where the writers tried so hard to give it a serious, extended universe, that it just got way out of hand and took away part of the simple "dude using superpowers to villains" charm to it. So...it'll probably be good for a comic movie, but that will not stop the horrible cry of the fanpeoples whose wails have already gotten WB to actually APOLOGIZE for the first trailer and re-do the entire CG for the movie.

Green Lantern works best as "space cop" rather than "hero with magic wishing ring". I like how they did the energy constructs in the JL and JLU cartoons, where the ring created basic shapes rather than guns and motor cycles and boxing gloves and toilet plungers.

I can find things to bitch about with this trailer, but I'll lay off and hope the movie turns out okay. As always, if they don't sell audiences on the person who becomes the hero, nothing will save it.

I'm not really a fan of the green lantern and i thought that looked pretty awesome. except for the CG costume, that just looks weird.
