Im of the mind first person shooters reached their apex with the 8-man Duke Nukem 3D LAN deathmatch.
Then again, I haven't played Forever yet.
I have played it and I'd say you are pretty much jot missing much unless you are 16 years old.
maybe you just dont like first person shooters
another game where everything is grey and brown. yay.
As much as I love the fallout series, the post-apoc thing needs a rest for a while. Just take a break and get back to us in three years when we have the hankering. Carmac might take us to the moon on his rocketship, and that is more interesting to me than his games currently.
Another game where gun fetishists kill hordes of mutants with boring weapons.
Another incredibly detailed industrial wasteland.
Another game I'm not going to buy.
I'm going to go ahead and use this random game video to peddle my new wordpress blog www.gamesiguess.wordpress.com. I know, another wordpress blog bout games. I'm using it mostly as a showcase for freelancing, which I'm doing a bit of now. It breaks decorum, but I've been in the poetv community for about 5 years now and wanted some opinions on my writing and format. It'll migrate to a .com in the coming months, with contributers, podcast and other things. I know, I'm a whore, but take a look and leave feedback on the site. I'm very new and currently adjusting just about everything.
One of those weapons works and kind of looks like the throwing star from Krull. That works for me.
Go rewatch the Road Warrior series & The Road.
Would any of those movies have worked if they'd been as gaudy as Joel Schumacher's fluorescent stinkburger "Batman & Robin"?
oh boy a lighting demo
I very much like the tag "old wine in new bottles", its very appropriate and I've been saying for quite some time now that a lot of FPS games, especially anything made by Id software is basically the same fundamental gameplay found in Doom with a graphical upgrade.
And Id software games follow an excruciatingly predictable formula that was played out as far back as 98 at the height of Quake 2's popularity.
I mean really? A semiautomatic rocket launcher? What, can you aim it at your feet and go flying in the air too? Fuck.
Their games are always so incredibly predictable, circle strafe like a moron, shoot an enemy with incredibly generic painframes (or none at all) until its dead, rinse, repeat.
Honestly, as much as I'm not fan of EA, I found that Dead Space was a far more interesting game, and they made a commendable effort to make a game that was compelling enough to play from start to finish.
Visuals alone can't save a game if the tasks are monotonous and unrewarding.

I like how they couldn't think up any original name for the obligatory evil distopian government and just went with "The Authority" , might as well called it "The M.A.N.".
I will buy this game. I will play this game. I will enjoy this game.
Hahah, we're the only two.
"Yeah I know it's dumb and stuff but...ya know"
Guys, guys...you're all missing the point.... THE GRAPHICS DUDE, THE GRAPHICS!!! THIS SHIT USES LIKE DUAL CORE SUPER LIQUID COOLED FRACTAL CHIPS OR SOME SHIT.

The game looks nice enough, but my stars are for all of you and your cute attempts to sound clever and insightful.
nice to see id is still making mediocre games with really impressive graphics engines

Nah. Not really feeling it.
I'll get my tits out for Skyrim, though.
I don't care. This game looks really cool and I'm pretty interested in the premise. I don't own any of the mentioned games anyway.
