I just did a Google search for "Talespin." It's out on DvD. And it wouldn't surprise me all this stuff was being re-run on the Disney Channel. Hell, it'd beat their live action "tween comedies" for being less likely to rot your brain. No one in our family lets any of our wee ones anywhere near that crap.

And I do seem to recall a few good points to some of those Disney shows. "Gummi Bears" had the great Lorenzo Music and June Foray doing voicework, and there was a pretty funny clip from that "Raw Toonage" show featuring Gary Owens as "Badly Animated Man." Of course, those really aren't too high on the "fetish fuel" list for the furry/otherkin crowd.

Huh. That clip isn't on the site. To the hopper!

I was imagining what this huy looks like and what setting he is in. Its funnier if you imagine an extremely handsome guy in his palatial mansion surrounded by adoring beautiful women and piles of gold.

Well, at least 3 of them were human. But I think the most notable point of this list is that he seems to have put a lot of value on how much each character cared for her friends.

...That is incredibly more sad than if he had just limited himself to which one was "hotter".

This sort of reminds me of old PoE-Main, all of the "exhibit" websites made by obsessives devoted to Disney Afternoon toons, like the grandfather obsessed with the lady mouse from that Chip and Dale cartoon, or the site devoted to a villain who appeared in one episode of one of those series, and all of the creeps rhapsodizing about the incredibly complexity of the narratives and settings of bland time-slot filler like TaleSpin.

I remember one site that was pages upon pages of a guy going on about the daughter of the woman who was Baloo's boss on Tailspin, and another that was all about Mimi, Dee Dee's asian friend in Dexter's Lab who appeared in like two episodes for all of five minutes.

*Sigh* Those were the days.

There was the Foxglove website about a bat that showed up for one episode in one of those shows and some insane dude was in love with the bat and wrote something like hundreds of pages in devotion to it.

Then there was also the dude who was obsessed with the bear girl on Talespin and wrote his website in like twelve languages and talked on his site about how he often introduced people to Talespin while on the bus.

Holy fuck, the amounts of insanity Disney inspires is amazing.
