Jesus Christ. I just looked into the heart of evil. Not like the 'I dress as a dragon in a diaper' kind of evil but I mean the not so funny kind of evil.

I wish there was a way to bring this guy up on Crimes Against Humanity, but I figure the Hague doesn't work like that.

This guy is too dangerous to just serve 21 years and walk. This guy is too dangerous to be -alive- in my opinion. Because there are going to be a lot of rabid twits who see him as the Messiah.

Whatever he is trying to start needs to be shut down NOW and I do not feel like an alarmist saying that.

fedex - 2011-07-24

8:15 the guy is holding up FUCKING VLAD TEPES as an example of leadership because he kicked some Ottoman ass back in the day.

Point is, people will pick and choose whatever they want from the huge pile of bullshit to support their ideas. If you want to believe it too, you will.

Born in the RSR - 2011-07-24

I was curious about that part. I don't think romanian immigrants rank that much higher in their book than muslim immigrants.

Also: Wasn't there a guy called Freeman Gordon around here that was from Norway? We need his commentary on this.

Modern Angel - 2011-07-24

21 years and he walks is a dumb meme and not how it works.

He will serve 21 years. At the end of that time, a Norwegian judge or panel has the option of extending the time for another 5 years. At the end of that 5 year, they can do it again. They can do it forever.

Spoonybard - 2011-07-24

Yes, the best way to deal with a Messiah is to have the state execute him

that'll nip it in the bud

Jeriko-1 - 2011-07-24

I didn't say the state nor was I implying any 'punishment boner'. I was talking about an international tribunal for crimes against humanity.

Spoonybard - 2011-07-24

I was actually making fun of your hilarious implication that Messiah + execution = problem solved, when the most obvious parallel resulted in not only a significant and far-reaching martyrdom, but the most influential cultural movement in the history of western civilization

kingarthur - 2011-07-24

This is what the Tea Party actually believes.

BongoFury - 2011-07-24

This guy actually wanted a "cultural european version of the Tea Party movement."

whensaidthemoon - 2011-07-24

The really disturbing thing is that Breivik isn't just some mass-murderer. He isn't even a typical terrorist who sees mass murder as a justifiable means to an end. He genuinely believes that what he did was right and necessary. He genuinely believes that the teenagers and young adults he massacred deserved it. He genuinely believes that history will call him a hero, and a lot of people agree with him.

I honestly don't know how to rate this; "five stars for evil" doesn't do it justice.

fedex - 2011-07-24

Yeah i was a bit taken aback to see european posters agreeing with his explanations and calling him a hero. Then I realized its the same reaction that hardcore Islamists have to a typical al-qaeda style attack and well, the grass is always greener I guess...

fedex - 2011-07-24

sorry, should say *some* european posters, obviously most are as horrified about it as anyone AFAICT

Dr Dim - 2011-07-24

I don't think he's schizophrenic, just a massive arsehole.

bac - 2011-07-25

YO JANGBONES! The word you are looking for is 'sociopath' not 'schizophrenic'. Their is no evidence that this guy is schizophrenic (doesn't mean he isn't just none yet). Being schizophrenic does mean you're crazy but, doesn't mean you're evil, you can still be a functional human being (I have more than a few schizophrenic friends). 'Psychopath' isn't the right word either because psychopaths don't know what they're doing is wrong evil or fucked up. Sociopaths (what this man most certainly is) are people perfectly capable of understanding what they're doing is wrong but do it anyway. Sociopath. Say it with me So-she-oh-path

Nithing - 2011-07-24

The strangest thing is how relatively moderate his beliefs were, for a spree killer. Anti-Nazi and he didn't even support the most conservative mainstream party. Most Republicans are further right.

LetsFistAgain - 2011-07-24

In what way is his opinions not Nazi-like? "The government, the UN, the EU and the world is all controlled by the eternal Muslim and his bolshevik cohorts. Are you a bad enough Aryan to rescue Norway?"

Im Swedish and i hope that in the future we Scandinavians will think about what kind of people the far-right nationalists we are letting into our governments really are. Barring the "Turkish Abductions" on Iceland and the Skirmish at Bender, we have never had any beef with the Muslim world, no thanks to assholes like this guy.

Nithing - 2011-07-24

His posting history shows him leaving or disagreeing with various groups for being racist, neo-Nazi or anti-semitic. It just seems a strange degree of moderation for someone who calmly gunned down 80+ kids.

cognitivedissonance - 2011-07-24

Well, if this Jared Loughner and Anders Breivik have proven anything, all you have to do to get a lenient sentence is make a slideshow on Youtube.

BongoFury - 2011-07-24

This link is to an article at a norwegian anti-islam/anti-immigration/pro-israel website where Behring Breivik was active. The introduction states that:

"Anders Behring Breiviks book 2083 has copied the so called Unabomber Manifesto word by word. He is otherwise careful about mentioning his sources, but there is nothing in his manifesto about using the writings of the Unabomber as a source."

Scroll down and you can compare passages of 2083 to the manifesto of the Unabomber.

Burnov - 2011-07-24

Masons: go figure.

Jeriko-1 - 2011-07-24

You know whats also great?

Blackwater or whatever they call themselves now also refer to their members as 'Templars' whether that is just sarcastic humor or not.

The Mothership - 2011-07-24

I especially love his enlistment of the crusades in support of an isolationist policy.

Oscar Wildcat - 2011-07-24

His heros all killed muslim warriors. Their islamic enemies killed white christians. So who does our modern Knight Templar kill??? What a teabagger.

Riskbreaker - 2011-07-24

I'm still not making any sense of how killing Norway teens was suppose to help his cause. I know, we're talking about a lunatic here. Also, i really don't want to read all his bs, this case truly revolts me.

CIWB - 2011-07-24

The island was used as a retreat for Norway's left-wing Labor Party. He was killing the children of Norway's "Marxist" politicians who were ruining the country by promoting multiculturalism, and also the children who would form the future of the Labor Party.

bac - 2011-07-25

Half of it is outright bumpersticker bullshit. The pure propaganda of this is amazing.
