Yah, but sometimes he still does the right thing, like here. There are still a few Republicans left, like Snow, Collins, and Brown who stick by their beliefs. Hopefully we can get more sensible and independent politicians in 2012 to push back against the extremists on both sides of the aisle and compromise with Obama.

John McCain's is an old irrelevant weepy vagina who previously tried to appeal to the same constitutes he's now befuddled by. He's principled in the sense he'll say what he needs to appeal to his far-right voters and then waffle when the pressure is on.

Wasn't it Nixon who said it best, "To win as a Republican, go as as far to the right as you can during the primary & then return to the center before the elections."?

I'm not so optimistic. Everyone was saying the same thing about the Republicans imploding in 2008 and then we got the 2010 elections with them screwing up progress more than ever.

He has no principles.

In 12 years the Democrats will be just like the Tea Party is now and the GOP will be openly endorsing genocide and cannibalism (with 50 million people agreeing). This is the best it will ever be compared to the future.

Fabio, traditionally the opposition makes gains in Congress after the other side takes the White House. If anything, Obama can point to the crazies running the GOP & mock his way to another victory.

The thing is, the worse things get, the more the ignorant will look to someone that promises them a quick and easy fix, and gives them boogeymen to blame it all on.

I fear that a large number of non-wealthy Republicans will *never* clue to the fact they are voting for their own destruction.
