See, I don't really pay much attention to this stuff since there's actual, real stuff happening in the world right now, and the result is I've heard more about WTC from this site than from any other source and it's starting to blur together. Uh oh.

Counterpoint: more people I otherwise respect believe this stuff than all other conspiracy theories COMBINED.

I think that says more about the people you choose to respect.

It's so very appealing because it can accommodate just about any flavor of conspiracy confirmation bias one happens to have rattling around in one's head. It can be intentional Bush administration terrorism, it can be bankers wanting to destroy records, it can be some Illuminati plot to threaten world commerce, or it could even be some alt-universe version of Mr. Tenpenny from Fallout 3 who just wanted to blow something up.

It's a lot like aliens, really; you can pick your own flavor of conspiracy and know that it's already chock full of nuts.

Office furniture on fire. An entire concrete and steel building, woosh in to the ground cause of burning desks and chairs. Never happened before, will never again. Physically impossible for countless reasons.

But yeah, that the reason given. Take it or leave it.

So what is more likely? That fire damage to the building caused it to collapse in an anomalous way, or that it was intentionally destroyed as part of a huge conspiracy at the highest levels of government to initiate a false flag operation, despite the fact that this could have been accomplished with the collapse of even just ONE of the WTC towers?

I knew we could count on you. Also, it was partially fire and partially the massive damage caused by WTC 1 & 2 collapsing right next to it.

But, you know, it probably is just a huge mystery. Why would a huge fire and massive damage to one corner of a building cause it to fall down?

You know, dancingshadow, I'm starting to think you're trolling. More than enough people around here have pointed out how everything you've said about 9/11 is wrong. Either you have no ability to critically assess information that's being presented to you, or you're just a bored troll. I watched (and believed) enough conspiracy videos to know that they're constantly harping on about "doing your own research" so why not try that?

I'll give you some fun places to start: find out at which temperature your average fire burns, and then find out at which temperature steel loses 50% of it's strength. Not where it melts, mind you. Just where it gets weaker. And maybe sit down and watch the video of the NIST report on WTC 7. Maybe watch some videos of controlled demolitions and compare/contrast them to videos of the WTC buildings falling.

And here's some interesting information that I found out, I'll save you the research: Thermite (as I hope you know) is composed of iron and aluminum oxides, maybe with a bit of sulfur thrown in for kicks. Guess where those things are in heavy abundance?? If you said the inside of an office building which has just been hit by a 767, a winner is you!!!

Yep, but that wouldn't be a case for a 9/11 conspiracy per se. Truthers use building 7 as one of their main "arguments" to support the idea that the twin towers were blow up with explosives. You just won't move them from that point.
