The quality of that commercial was commesurate with Ringo's talent.

"WRONG LADS!"

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-09-26

That's it, I'm going to watch a Hard Days Night later just for that scene where Ringo goes on the lam and has an adventure all his own!

Xenocide - 2011-09-26

When it comes to the movies, Ringo outclasses the other three without even trying.

Liszt-O-Mania, 200 Motels...

Mickey Dolenz's smug, non-committal face.

I used to love this commercial. To this day I still sometimes say "Lads! The time has come!" when appropriate.

It's weird because when this aired I was like ten years old and had no idea who Ringo Starr was. I did know the Monkees, though.

In other news, stuffed crust pizza is gross.

I like to imagine no one really could tell Beatles from Monkees and Ringo only finds out who he ends up with in this commercial.

Xenocide - 2011-09-26

Even then, Ringo only realizes it because they were playing the Monkees theme song in the background.

cognitivedissonance - 2011-09-26

Whatsamatter, Mike Nesmith? Are you too important/rich/busy to be in a commercial with Ringo Starr?

Old_Zircon - 2011-09-27

After the success of Television Parts one could hardly expect him to lower himself to do a mere commercial.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-09-26

One groups of lads is as good as another.

Or am I being racist?

Against lads?
