Ghoul - 2011-10-21

Haych Pee.

SolRo - 2011-10-21

Bee-gin

Holy shit, he's 20? The level of stupid and the voice had me thinking 11.

not worth pointing out all the stupid, but "brand new PC i bought for 0". At least someone got 0 out of this idiot for their old laptop.

stage - 2011-10-21

he keeps saying SLLLICK in a way that makes my skin crawl...

Frabo - 2011-10-21

At 1:40: "Mini-port".

He is doing a voice then right?

The Townleybomb - 2011-10-21

So is that how you flip the bird in Mac?

Ocyrus - 2011-10-21

I'm confident he's ignorant to the fact that he flipped himself off.

SweaterCollection - 2011-10-21

If I ever become such a pussy that I want to use a laptop with a charger that cannot kill somebody, I'll buy a mac book.

sosage - 2011-10-21

"I have no idea what this is...what do you mean I gotta know how to turn shit on...why isn't this jizz white and tiny?"

duck&cover - 2011-10-21

Reminds me of Jawsus.

Burnov - 2011-10-21

A new pruane, awesome.

StanleyPain - 2011-10-21

I think this is a perfect example of Poe's Law really, as it applies to Mac fans. You can't really tell if someone's trolling or for real when it comes to Mac obsessives.
Assuming he's for real, though, it kinda says a lot about your knowledge of computers when you don't know what a firewire port is.

poorwill - 2011-10-21

HAS to be trolling.

EvilHomer - 2011-10-21

He's trolling. His delivery is spot on, and he's ALMOST indistinguishable from a real Mac user, but his tell is that he's way too young to be this terminally Mac-addled.

fatatty - 2011-10-21

I'm not convinced he's trolling. He's definitely not too young to be a mac-addled. I was convinced by my Mac obsessed mom from the age of 6, with our monochrome Macintosh Plus, that they're the best thing ever. I was getting into arguments in middle school about Mac vs. PC. Luckily I did grow out of it.

But maybe I just want it to be real because it's funnier that way.

Redford - 2011-10-21

I dunno. He's calling a computer with the windows operating system loaded a "PC" and rates a computer based on it's brand name instead of it's internal components. That's what I used to do before I understood what actually made a computer work. The delivery seems a little too spot-on for it to be an actual person and not a troll, but at the same time I think it's realistic that someone his age wouldn't know anything about actual hardware.

EvilHomer - 2011-10-21

Brightness! Light weight! Nice slick design! All the crucial components of your electronic computer-machine!

I was at Best Buy the other day, and happened to stroll through their laptop aisle to see what was on offer. Every laptop had a card with three major selling points printed on it, and not ONE of them had any pertinent hardware specs. It was all stuff like "Large screen size", "Loaded with Windows 7", and "Internet-capable"; if you were lucky, you might get a card touting the total harddrive space, but that was it.

I'm no IT Bouncer, my tech-nerd neckbeard is stubbly and short, but is this really what most young people think of when they try and compare computers? What color the case is and whether it can go online?

SweaterCollection - 2011-10-21

I've been a big PC nerd since the mid 90s or so. Over the last couple years, I've been begrudgingly coming to terms with the fact that Moore's law is soon going to level out in the consumer market. Not because we can't make better computers, but because nobody wants to buy them, and nobody is writing any software for them.

"Brightness! Light weight! Nice slick design!" That's what most people are willing to pay for.

dead_cat - 2011-10-22

Evilhomer - If you're shopping at Best Buy for a laptop based on the tags, then yes, odds are those factors are the extent of what you think about when you look for a computer.

baleen - 2011-10-22

I have been using PCs my entire life.
My first computer was an 8088, which at the time was the fastest PC in the market at a lightning fast 4.5mhz. I have been building my own PCs out of various parts for over 20 years.

Several years ago I switched to Mac when Leopard was released. It is the best computer I've ever owned in every possible measure, and I doubt I'll ever go back to PC.

Gmork - 2012-02-01

Because I am poor I now own a very fast cheap gaming PC and my macs are all sitting in the closet. Dual 3.0, fancy nvidia card, lots of memory, new mobo, solid state drive for the OS...

If I had money i'd probably have both, but I don't. So PCs for now.

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-10-21

PCs: HEAVY, DANGEROUS, COULD KILL SOMEBODY.

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2011-10-21

Someone found the white Steve Urkle.... fascinating.

themilkshark - 2011-10-21

Listen, stop assuming that everyone on the planet is socially aware. These weirdoes are on the internet BECAUSE THEY DON'T INTERACT WITH ANYTHING BUT ELECTRONICS. They study sitcoms to figure out social constructs, these are living breathing Screech Powers ok? They're not trolls, no one is fucking with you... They're desperate shells of people attempting to reach out to humanity. Slap them.

Hooker - 2011-10-21

Once again, someone on poeTV astounds me by saying everything I agree with until the last sentence, when they go in a shocking and horrible direction.

EvilHomer - 2011-10-21

Don't listen to themilkshark! This kid is socially engineering us! He's socially engineering us, and then he's going to gloat about it on Usenet!

Anaxagoras - 2011-10-21

What was the matter with his final sentence? It fits in perfectly with the rest of the post.

dead_cat - 2011-10-22

No, no way this moron is 20.

FABIO - 2011-10-22

It's Pat!

divinitycycle - 2011-10-23

I can't stop imagining this guy as a Ferengi...

Walker - 2011-10-24

Thin. Bright. Sleep Mode.

THE MAC WINS!!!

Bort - 2013-10-21
