Better than CG.

I am writing your department to connote the satisfaction I endeared as I watched this charming photo-play. I wondered with great amusement if this gentleman would ever succeed in his courtly dance (and I must admit I thought I would employ the smelling salts whence hearing sighs amongst the gentlewomen in the audience during his close advances!), and was astounded and amazed by the special photo effects craftily used in this scene. I tell you, it will make me question the very idea of these mysterious yet wondrous particle rays which allows my skeleton for viewing!

It took people many years to understand what narrative edits were. This really must have been very amusing in 1897.
