I posted this not because it's particularly bad or particularly good, but mostly because it was a peculiarity, trying to fit three different newspaper strips into a single story adapted for mid-80s style action cartoons. You can also see where they were also trying (and I must guess, failing) to produce a toy line, like Ming's robot that talks like a Mooninite.
The other point of interest is Lothar: as originally portrayed in the 1930s he was an uneducated African in a leopard skin and a fez. Later he was given more Western clothing so he looked more like a pimp. For this cartoon they've reimagined him as a Man of a Thousand Talents (beating Michael Holt by a dozen years).
